Kemi embarked on her entrepreneurial journey as a teenager. She started her first licensed business at the age of 17—selling a line of gourmet Louisiana Creole food to Neiman Marcus and fine grocery outlets in the Silicon Valley. Since those early days of marketing her mother’s recipes, she has garnered recognition from publications such as Essence Magazine, Black Enterprise, Self Magazine, and the Los Angeles Business Journal.
Kemi’s written work speaks volumes, while her voice extends its reach through podcasts and radio shows. She has contributed to discussions on matters of faith, business, culture, race relations, education and family flourishing.
Kemi is a wife and mother of three. Motherhood has been the driving force behind most of her endeavors, enriching her perspective and fueling her passion for family-centered community development.
Kemi currently serves on the boards of the Mentoring Alliance, The Mayborn Museum, and as a member of the Parish Council at St. Nicholas in Waco.
She is a graduate of the University of Southern California (USC), Fuller Seminary, and Oxford University in England.
